(CPTT 2.25.3 supports all MS Windows versions up to Windows 11 24H2, Windows Server 2025, Windows 10 22H2, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows 7)

Download the CPTT 2.25 installation file from cptt_2.25.msi (approx. 3150K). For installation, double click the MSI file and follow the installation instructions.

• General:
  • (2.25.1) CPTT now supports transport layer encryption with TLS 1.3 in addition to TLS 1.2 [  TLS 1.3 ] is the latest TLS version. With TLS 1.3, new, modern cryptographic methods have been added and insecure methods have been removed.

    

  • (2.25.2) CPTT tested and runs on MS Windows Server 2025 and MS Windows Server 2022.

• GUI:
  • (2.25.1) In the Protocol Profile window, the order of the protocol families has been changed: The order is now: IEC 60870-5, MODBUS, DNP, IEC 61850, ABB, Metering, Landis&Gyr, SAT, Raw data.
  • (2.25.1) In the Message List Storage window, the item "New" for creating a new Message List has been added to the Edit menu and the background menu.
  • (2.25.1) CPTT's Headless mode has been improved and expanded. When starting CPTT with "CPTT-Gui.exe --headless" no graphical user interface is displayed. Instead, a UEC (User Engine Class, our plug-in solution) can be started directly. This is used, for example, to integrate CPTT's Protocol engines in quality assurance tests as part of [  CI - continuous integration ].
  • (2.25.3) Under MS Windows text and symbol sizes are now adjusted according to Windows > Settings > Accessibility > Text Size.
  • (2.25.3) The Message List window (Edit > Message List Storage, double-click on a Message List) has been modernized and revised.

• Transmission Protocols:
  • (2.25.1) IEC 60870-5-101: Minimum length of an FT1.2 Frame reduced by 1 so that a C_RD_NA_1 Message is recognized and accepted with the smallest field length.
  • (2.25.1) IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS TCP/IP, DNP3/IEEE 1815 over LAN/WAN, Raw data net: The TCP/IP transport layer encryption TLS 1.3 is now additionally supported for all of these protocols.
