With COMPROTware:Testtool (short CPTT) you can simulate a central or sub station of a telecontrol system or follow the communication
between them. You receive a continous realtime display with a flexible output of the different communication layers.
The protocol traffic can be logged to a file at any time. You can send single or periodical message lists, that may contain arbitrary erroneous information. For the Offline Analysis, the log files may be used to draw right conclusions.
CPTT has spread widely around the globe during the last years. For more details have a look on [ CPTT worldwide ] .

Additional Information ...
Integrated test and analysis tool (protocol analyzer) for transmission protocols for telecontrol systems.
The following transmission protocols have been implemented:
IEC 60870-5-101 Ed. 2.0 - Protocol for basic telecontrol tasks
IEC 60870-5-102 - Protocol for transmission of integrated totals
IEC 60870-5-103 - Protocol for information interface of protection equipment
IEC 60870-5-104 Ed. 2.0 - IEC 60870-5-101 using TCP/IP
IEC 61850 - Protocol for station automation
DNP3 serial (or DNP V3.00) - Protocol for basic telecontrol tasks
DNP3 over LAN/WAN - DNP3 on network (TCP/IP or UDP/IP)
MODBUS serial - Field bus protocol
MODBUS TCP/IP - MODBUS on TCP/IP network
ABB RP570/571 - Supplier specific telecontrol protocol
ABB SPA-Bus - Supplier specific field bus protocol
Landis & Gyr TG 809 - Supplier specific telecontrol protocol
Raw data und Raw data Network - Logging and sending of raw data on the serial or network connection
(Additional protocols are under development)
All protocol implementations are integrated into one Graphical User Interface. So you have the same state-of-the-art, windows-based look & feel to support the engineer’s task of implementing and testing protocols, the delivery of central systems/substations or the assurance of network
availability.
The Graphical User Interface is available in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.
The view formatting options can be changed at will during the protocol traffic display (while simulating, monitoring, or Offline Analysis).
Filtering options can be changed at any time, reducing the data quantity and creating an overview.
Modern software design: The Graphical User Interface is implemented in Java and therefore platform independent. Communication layer, protocol engine, and communication decoder are implemented in C++ enabling fast computation (Berechnungen) and closeness to the hardware.
Worldwide, from the far east to America, over 1500 licenses of COMPROTware:Testtool are in use.
System requirements
Available for the Microsoft operating systems MS Windows 2000 and MS Windows XP. Depending on the operating system, a standard PC with Pentium 400MHz or faster will be need.
